Apples Stewed or Baked

Baked Apples Serves 2

2 Core apples

2 T chopped Walnuts

2 T Whole Oats

2 Dates

¼ tsp. Cardamon

½ tsp. Cinnamon

1 cup


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Core apples and food process or grind nuts, oats and dates and spices. Stuff nut mixture inside apples. Sit apples in glass pan with 1 cup water in the bottom of pan. Cover with foil. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Serve with yogurt.


Apples Stewed Serves 2

2-3 Apples cored and cut into wedges

Sprinkle of Cinnamon

Squirt of Honey

1 t Shredded Lemon Peel

1 cup water

Place apples in sauce pan and add other ingredients. Stir. Bring mixture to boil, turn down and cover for 20 minutes. Apples should be tender. Stewed apples are said to be soothing to a lazy and irritated stomach.
